The South Central Sleep Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). This national accreditation is given to sleep centers that meet rigorous guidelines to ensure quality of patient care.
The South Central Sleep Center has been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine since May of 2005. During the accreditation process, surveyors from the AASM visit the South Central Sleep Center and evaluate the services provided. They review patient records and interview consulting physicians and sleep center personnel.
Sleep Center accreditation is not an easy process. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine only accredits organizations that exemplify the highest standards in sleep medicine.
We are pleased to offer this quality service to the residents of South Central Mississippi. We have over 30 years of combined experience in treating sleep apnea. The center conducts more than 500 sleep studies annually.
The South Central Sleep Center also includes a durable medical equipment (DME) center with a technician who specializes in CPAP and BIPAP technology. Our technician works closely with DME patients to help them understand the importance of using the CPAP technology on a daily basis. Patients are evaluated individually to determine the type of technology they need to ensure success.
